Job Options for Coach Fran

Well, much to the chagrin of every coach and fan in the Big 12, last night's performance against Miami probably sealed the fate of our buddy Coach Fran. With that in mind, we here at DT have decided to offer up some suggestions for jobs the good coach may want to consider since it looks like he's gonna be looking in the not-too-distant future.

1. Chain Restaurant Waiter - Fran's a good salesman with a pleasant demeanor. Some might call it "flair." Plus, he's cool under pressure and scrutiny, and is a master of explaining why things didn't work out like they were supposed to.

2. Used Car Salesman - Let's face it, if you can convince one of college football's more storied programs to hire you as-is, you can convince me to buy that '86 Buick with 200k miles and bald tires.

3. Air Traffic Controller - If Fran can handle the pressure of coaching the Mighty Ags at Kyle Field, he can surely handle the pressure of keeping hundreds of planes in the air. On second thought, maybe this one isn't for him.

4. Head Coach of the San Diego Chargers - Because, let's face it, LT's the only reason this fraud has a job in the first place!

Leave Coach Fran alone!

He might actually be an upgrade at San Diego...at least he knew which horse to ride and how to ride it all the way to big money.

The car salesman fark leaves me confused as to whether he's trying to sell me the car or get me in bed with him - either way the answer is no...

The car salesman is particularly appropriate, considering that's exactly what disgraced former Aggie coach Jackie Sherrill did after being let go and before being hired by Mississippi State.

Leave it to a bunch of hayseeds from the panhandle -- breathing way too much of that dusty air. You guys are nothing but a bunch of wannabee's!!!!!!! The problem is that you will never be!

You haven't been since '36, so I wouldn't go talkin' too much smack.
You know, once we beat you again next week, we'll have won ten of the last thirteen? If we're the wannabes, what does that make you?
